Filing from outside the US
NRI & cross-border filing
US returns filed from India — Form 1040-NR, FBAR, and DTAA coordination — handled by the Hyderabad desk on your time zone.
1040-NR · FBAR (FinCEN 114) · DTAA
02
Legitimacy
The Hyderabad desk is a real office, not a contractor
Every return prepared in Hyderabad is reviewed and signed by the same US-licensed CPAs, EAs, and tax attorneys who review Houston-prepared returns. One team, one file, regardless of which office handled it.

Glossary
Terms you'll see
- FBAR— Foreign Bank Account Report — FinCEN Form 114
- Required if the combined balance of your foreign financial accounts exceeded $10,000 at any point in the year. Filed separately from your tax return, with its own deadline.
- 1040-NR— US Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return
- The return for non-resident filers with US-source income. Different rules than the standard 1040 apply to deductions, exemptions, and treaty benefits.
- DTAA— Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement
- The US-India tax treaty. Applied where it reduces double taxation on income earned in both countries — pension, dividends, and certain capital gains most commonly.
